She has traveled to several states and countries for volunteer work and play, including Peru, England, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Canada, and the Caribbean.
Recently, Kelsey was asked to provide therapy services in Anchorage, Alaska as an activity therapist at a behavioral health hospital, and she currently works as a Life Enrichment Director at an assisted living community.
Why do you feel you would be an asset to the Liddle Kidz Foundation volunteer team?
“As Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, I'm a person who understands children, including all the psychological aspects and their need for recreation. I can provide therapeutic play for the kids who need it. Additionally, I am a bright-spirited person who would have a positive attitude through the trip, rain or shine. I would proudly represent the Liddle Kidz Foundation.”
Why would you like to participate in this outreach event?
“It sounds like an amazing opportunity to personally help kids in need in a part of the world that seems like another planet to me. Children are my passion, and I would cherish an opportunity to touch some lives I wouldn't otherwise be able to. I think this trip would provide me with an invaluable experience to see the world and help make me a true citizen of the world. I would hope that the experience would provide children with a positive experience they would not forget.”
There are millions of infants and children worldwide who are struggling to live to their fullest potential. Would you like an opportunity to bring nurturing touch and pediatric massage to orphaned and displaced children around the globe?
Do you wish to share your skills with children who are affected by Cerebral Palsy, AIDS/HIV, landmines, Agent Orange, developmental disabilities, genetic birth defects, mental and emotional trauma?
