Kristin Beaumont is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist and Certified Infant Massage Teacher as well as the founder of STARkids therapy (Soothing Touch for Arkansas Kids). As a graduate of the Utah College of Massage Therapy in Salt Lake City, she has focused her growing massage therapy career on sports, injury, and rehabilitation massage. Although, Mrs. Beaumont has made it her goal to continually increase her knowledge through professional continuing education focusing on different modalities and techniques. One highlight was when she was invited to study under the Olympic doctors traveling to China to learn in the Olympic training center.
Mrs. Beaumont has had the opportunity to work with clients of all ages and has always possessed a passion for working with young children. She has fully embraced the opportunity and knowledge offered through the Liddle Kidz Foundation, and has completed both the infant and pediatric massage certification programs, as well as advanced pediatric massage education in working with children on the Autism spectrum. She knows massage is a powerful tool in the rehabilitation and treatment of the young and the young at heart. She is in the process of building a practice working with children with special needs, focusing specifically on children with Autism.
Kristin is also a frequent volunteer around the community, and is currently organizing a school supply drive to benefit Martin Luther King Elementary School in Little Rock, Arkansas. She is active in her church, teaching a weekly Sunday school class with her husband, and she volunteers as a lead teacher in an area church based young women’s group. She has also had the opportunity to take her volunteer experience to others, and spent 18 months doing missionary work in and around Las Vegas, Nevada.
As the coach of Miracle League baseball, Kristin has the opportunity to work with some outstanding athletes with special healthcare needs. Through the encouragement of her team, lasting friendships are formed and lives are changed. As part of a team of volunteers teaching and coaching youth with special healthcare needs, she strives to set an example of good sportsmanship, teamwork, and compassion. Recognizing the opportunity to teach, she hopes that her young athletes will take the lessons of friendship, motivation, and goal-setting with them as they progress through life.
