Olivia London-Webb is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Infant Massage Teacher (CIMT) and a well respected massage therapy instructor at MTTI-Wellspring. She has had the privilege of living all over the country, and now chooses to call Lawrence, Kansas home.
Mrs. London-Webb has a thriving private massage therapy practice where she specializes in caring for pregnant or postpartum women. However, working with children has always been her passion and is the driving force behind her choice to become a massage therapist. She has spent ample time working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), as a Doula and Childbirth Educator.
Born almost three months premature, doctors told her mother that she wasn't going to live through the night. Olivia’s mother placed her inside her shirt and held her throughout the night. The next morning, doctors were amazed when she still had a heart beat. It is this memory of nurturing touch that drives Mrs. London-Webb’s desire to bring this same gift to children around the globe.
Olivia spends her most precious moments with her 2 sons, a wonderful husband and an ever growing number of rescued dogs.
Why would you like to participate in this outreach event?
“It has always been a dream of mine to do something like this. I originally became a massage therapist so that I could work with children. I received my NICU training right after I graduated. I immediately wanted to go to Romania and work with orphans there. That did not happen. Life changed for me and I had my first child, and then second. I thought that they were too small for me to leave. They are ready now, and so am I.”
There are millions of infants and children worldwide who are struggling to live to their fullest potential. Would you like an opportunity to bring nurturing touch and pediatric massage to orphaned and displaced children around the globe?
Do you wish to share your skills with children who are affected by Cerebral Palsy, AIDS/HIV, landmines, Agent Orange, developmental disabilities, genetic birth defects, mental and emotional trauma?
Just ask yourself . . . can one person make a difference?
Take this moment to make a difference in the life of a child.
