Jacquelyn Pannullo has been a special education teacher since 2002. She has experience working with children with autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, ADHD, emotional and behavioral disorders, learning disabilities, and communication disorders. She received her M.S. in Special Education from The City College of New York and her B.A. in Psychology, specializing in child development.
After teaching in New York City she moved to Portland, Oregon in 2004. In all her many years of being a special education teacher, in the public school system, there was always a yearning to find the strategies that would really work for each child and each classroom.
Having been an athlete from an early age and practicing yoga for several years, Jacquelyn decided to start teaching her students yoga and doing as much movement activities in the classroom as possible. After two days of teaching yoga to students with ADHD, autism and emotional disorders there was a noticeable difference in the behavior and communication styles of these children. “I was amazed, I had been researching, talking to everyone about what to do to help these children and everything I tried wouldn’t work or would only work for a short time, but doing yoga had an immediate and long lasting impact on the daily interactions of these children.”
The more Jacquelyn did yoga and movement activities with her students and experienced their on going improvements, She began to think about how massage and bodywork would help these children even more. It was then that Jacquelyn decided to go to massage school so that she would be able to integrate her educational and movement knowledge with the ability to do massage and bodywork with children.
Jacquelyn specializes in craniosacral therapy and is trained as an Infant craniosacral therapist as well as being a certified pediatric massage therapist with the Liddle Kidz Foundation.
Why would you like to participate in this outreach event?
“My passion lies in finding what works to help children and families. I have found that touch and movement are the most profound therapies available. I have spent most of my adult life working with children and would love to have the opportunity to go and work with these children that need the touch and attention so greatly. I hope that by doing this it gives these children more happiness and success in their lives. It is an exciting time for massage and alternative therapies and I would like to be a part of helping to spread these ideas.”

There are millions of infants and children worldwide who are struggling to live to their fullest potential. Would you like an opportunity to bring nurturing touch and pediatric massage to orphaned and displaced children around the globe?
Do you wish to share your skills with children who are affected by Cerebral Palsy, AIDS/HIV, landmines, Agent Orange, developmental disabilities, genetic birth defects, mental and emotional trauma?
Just ask yourself . . . can one person make a difference?
Take this moment to make a difference in the life of a child.
