Believing This Year Can Be Different ⭐

January 5, 2026

The start of a new year carries a quiet kind of power, but for me, it is often the first week that feels most meaningful.

It is not marked by countdowns or celebrations.

It is marked by intention.

It is the moment we show up, take a breath, and decide how we want to move forward.

Our minds are beautifully wired to notice transitions: new weeks, new seasons, new years. These moments give us permission to pause, reflect, and gently release what no longer serves us. They help us create a little distance between who we have been and who we are becoming.

And when we honor those moments, rather than rush past them, something shifts.

As we begin 2026, I find myself reflecting with deep gratitude on all that 2025 held for Liddle Kidz® Foundation.

This past year was filled with meaningful connections, learning, and growth across the globe. We had the honor of presenting courses at Stanford Medicine in collaboration with the Pediatric Palliative Care Department (QoLA Team), while also supporting the implementation of a brand new pediatric massage program at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford.

Across Japan, we shared lectures and courses in multiple regions, including visits to the Yokohama Pediatric Hospice Project, Sapporo University Hospital, Sapporo Children’s Hospital, and the Ronald McDonald House.

We gathered with passionate professionals and advocates at international conferences such as the National Children’s Disability Symposium in Osaka and the International Children’s Palliative Care Network (ICPCN) Conference in Manila.

We were also deeply moved by our time spent with the amazing Kythe Foundation at Perpetual Succour Children’s Hospital in Cebu, Philippines, where compassion, dedication, and heart are woven into daily care.

Each of these experiences reinforced something I have always believed: education rooted in compassion has the power to create real, lasting change for children, for families, and for the professionals who serve them.

There is a common narrative that fresh starts do not last. That motivation fades. Those intentions dissolve.

But I see it differently.

Even small steps matter.

Even a few weeks of learning, reflection, or renewed purpose can ripple outward in powerful ways.

Lasting change does not come from willpower alone. It comes from support, community, and systems that make growth sustainable. That is why everything we create at Liddle Kidz® is designed not just to inspire, but to walk alongside you as you grow your skills, your confidence, and your impact.

As you step into this new year, I invite you to pause and ask yourself:

What kind of care do I want to offer in 2026?

How do I want to grow, professionally and personally?

And how might education, certification, and professional community help me show up more fully for the children and families I serve?

If something in you is ready for a fresh start, trust it.

Sometimes the bravest decision is believing this year can be different.

There were moments this year, standing in hospital hallways, listening to families, and watching professionals show up with such care, that reminded me why this work matters so deeply to me. Not just as an educator, but as a human being.

Those moments stay with you. They shape how you move forward.

They remind us that what matters most is presence. Being willing to show up, to learn, to connect, and to care in ways that are deeply human. In a world that often feels rushed and disconnected, these moments of genuine connection feel more important than ever.

As we step into a new year, I believe that choosing to learn together, gathering as a community, and continuing to grow, both personally and professionally, is one of the most powerful ways we can make a difference. And it begins simply by believing that this year can be different.

With gratitude and hope for the year ahead,
